MySelfIdentity

Version 1.2 · For all MySelfIdentity affiliates

Affiliate Promotion Guidelines

Operated by Boltout LLC dba MySelfIdentity. These guidelines explain where and how you may promote MySelfIdentity. They form part of the Affiliate Terms you accept before your first payout. If you break them, your payouts can be paused and your account closed.

If you are ever unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first. Asking is always better than guessing.

1. What MySelfIdentity is

MySelfIdentity is a self-audit tool. It shows a person what the public web says about them: their public profiles, websites, mentions and archived pages, each with a link to the original source.

Describe it only this way. MySelfIdentity is not:

  • a background check
  • a people search or a way to look someone up
  • a credit check or credit monitoring service
  • identity theft protection, breach monitoring or dark web monitoring
  • a tool for screening job applicants, tenants, borrowers or anyone else

Never describe it as any of these, and never suggest it can be used for them.

2. Where you may promote

These channels are allowed:

  1. Paid search ads, such as Google Search Ads and Bing Ads
  2. Paid social media ads, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  3. Your own website, blog or landing page
  4. Organic social media posts on your own accounts
  5. Online groups and communities, only where the group's own rules allow promotion
  6. Email marketing, only to people who agreed to receive email from you (see section 8)

Who you may target: people in the United States only. Customers outside the US cannot purchase at launch.

3. Where you must never promote

These are prohibited, with no exceptions:

  1. Phone calls of any kind, including cold calls, robocalls and calls to leads
  2. Text messages, including SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage or any other messaging app
  3. Messaging strangers directly on social media to sell to them
  4. Spam of any kind, including posting the same message repeatedly or in groups that do not allow promotion
  5. Pop-ups, pop-unders, forced redirects or any traffic the visitor did not choose
  6. Cookie stuffing, fake clicks, bots or any method of generating fake traffic
  7. Incentivised signups, meaning paying or rewarding people to sign up
  8. Buying or using purchased email lists or phone lists
  9. Referring yourself, your family or accounts you control

Why calls and texts are banned: in the United States, marketing calls and texts without prior written permission carry fines of $500 to $1,500 for every single call or message, and the company selling the product is often held responsible for what its affiliates do. One affiliate breaking this rule can create a very large legal claim. A single verified complaint about an unsolicited call or text will pause your payouts immediately.

4. What you may say

You may say:

  1. “See what the public web already says about you.”
  2. MySelfIdentity searches public sources and gives you a report with every result linked to its original page.
  3. There are no scores and no hidden analysis.
  4. You confirm which results are you.
  5. You can delete your report or your account at any time.
  6. The current prices, exactly as shown on myselfidentity.co/pricing

Use only features that are shown on the MySelfIdentity website at the time you post.

5. What you must never say

Never say or suggest any of the following:

  1. That MySelfIdentity is a background check, people search or a way to look up someone else
  2. That it can help decide whether to hire, rent to, lend to, insure or admit anyone
  3. That it gives a reputation, risk, trust or character score
  4. That it protects against identity theft or monitors breaches, the dark web or credit
  5. Fear-based claims, such as “someone is searching for you right now” or “your data has been stolen”
  6. That a service is free when it is paid, without stating the price clearly in the same place
  7. False urgency, such as a fake countdown or “only 3 spots left”
  8. Guaranteed results of any kind
  9. That MySelfIdentity is endorsed by any government, agency or well-known company
  10. Fake reviews or testimonials, or results that are not typical

6. Pricing: say it correctly

Current prices:

  • Basic: $14 per month, 3 day free trial, 1 report per month. Or $140 per year.
  • Premium: $21 per month, 5 reports per month. Or $210 per year.
  • Deep Audit: $56 one-time, optional, bought inside the dashboard.
  • Extra reports: $7 each.

Rules:

  1. If you mention the free trial, always say what happens after it, in the same sentence. Correct: “Try it free for 3 days, then $14 per month, cancel anytime.” Wrong: “Try it free.”
  2. Always state whether a price is monthly, yearly or one-time.
  3. Only quote prices shown on myselfidentity.co/pricing. If prices change, update your ads.

7. You must disclose that you earn a commission

US law requires you to tell people you earn money when they buy through your link.

  1. Put the disclosure where people will see it before they click, not hidden at the bottom.
  2. Use clear words, for example: “I earn a commission if you buy through my link.”
  3. On social media, #ad or #affiliate at the start of the post is acceptable.
  4. Disclose on every post, video and email, every time.

8. Email marketing rules

Email is allowed only if you follow all of these:

  1. Only email people who agreed to receive email from you. No purchased or scraped lists.
  2. Show a real name and a real postal address in every email.
  3. Use honest subject lines that match what is inside.
  4. Include a working unsubscribe link, and remove anyone who unsubscribes within 10 days.
  5. Say clearly that the email is an advertisement.

9. Paid ads rules

  1. Do not bid on the name “MySelfIdentity” or any misspelling of it in search ads.
  2. Do not use “MySelfIdentity” in your ad's display URL, or make your ad look like it comes from us.
  3. Follow the advertising rules of the platform you use (Google, Meta, TikTok and others).
  4. Do not register domains, social media handles or app names that imitate MySelfIdentity.

10. How commissions work

  1. Commission is 30% on everything: monthly plans, annual plans, the Deep Audit and extra reports bought by your referred customers. One rate, nothing to memorise.
  2. On monthly and annual plans the 30% is recurring. You keep earning it every time that customer renews, for as long as they stay subscribed.
  3. A commission is earned when the customer's payment succeeds. For the Basic trial, that is the first paid charge after the trial, not the signup.
  4. Every commission is held for 30 days after the sale before it becomes payable. That period covers refunds and chargebacks. You can see pending and cleared amounts in your affiliate dashboard at any time.
  5. Cleared commissions are paid out monthly, to your personal bank account in Bangladesh by local transfer.
  6. Your referral link is credited for 60 days after someone first clicks it.
  7. If a sale is refunded or charged back, that commission is deducted from your future earnings.
  8. Before your first payout you must provide: your bank account details in your own legal name, a completed W-8BEN tax form, and acceptance of the Affiliate Terms.

11. What happens if you break these rules

  1. Minor issue: we contact you and you fix it within 5 business days.
  2. Serious issue or repeat: your payouts are paused and unpaid commissions from the problem traffic are cancelled.
  3. Very serious or repeated issue, including any unsolicited call or text, fake traffic or self-referral: your account is closed, unpaid commissions are withheld, and paid commissions on the affected sales may be reversed.

We monitor refund rates, chargebacks, complaints, duplicate payment details and sudden traffic spikes for every affiliate.

12. Questions

If you are not sure whether a channel, an ad or a piece of wording is allowed, ask us before you publish. Contact your affiliate manager or email support@myselfidentity.co.
